As you may know, I took a photography class in 2010 for college credit. We had four or five different “units” that we had to get through and one of the units was a portrait unit. Basically that meant that we had to take pictures of family, friends, and possibly even strangers. They kind of had to be unique pictures but be within the unit specifications. Anyway, I took two rolls of film for that unit and, although I have a bunch of pictures there that I like, there are two specific pictures that I love.

I like this picture a lot because this picture depicts typical Scott. I met Scott in college and whenever I saw him he was always happy and excitable. He was always cracking jokes and making weird faces. Scott is a musician so I think that’s why he’s so excited and unique. This picture was one of the pictures that completely stood out in the sixty or so pictures I took for this unit.
This is another favorite picture of mine. The girl, Cat, had amazing blue eyes…like crystal blue…they were (and I’m not embarrassed to say it) gorgeous. With her eye color and her hair, the picture seemed too good to pass up. So I took the picture. I actually used this picture for one of the slides on the book trailer for my third book.
I think that if my passion wasn’t in writing, it would be in photography. As soon as the summer is over and I have a little more time on my hands (my plate is full for the next month until mid September) I’m going to go out and take more pictures. I want to add to my portfolio.
